主讲概况:Qingyu Yan is currently a professor in School of Materials Science and Engineering in Nanyang Technology University. He obtained his BS in Materials Science and Engineering, Nanjing University. He finished his PhD from Materials Science and Engineering Department of State University of New York at Stony Brook. After that, He joined the Materials Science and Engineering Department of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute as a postdoctoral research associate. He joined School of Materials Science and Engineering of Nanyang Technological University as an assistant professor in early 2008 and became a Professor in 2018.
He is currently the vice president of the Electrochemical Society, Singapore Section. He is a fellow of Royal Society of Chemistry Since 2018. He is a highly cited researcher in Materials Science for 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021 indicated by web-of-science. He has published > 300 papers (with a total citation of > 31000 and a h-index of 93) on the research area: (1) battery development; (2) thermoelectric materials and (3) electrolytic process for energy conversion. 研究专长:(1) battery development; (2) thermoelectric materials and (3) electrolytic process for energy conversion.

主讲内容概况:氨(NH3)作为合成化肥的重要原料,其工业合成严重依赖对易造成环境污染的Haber-Bosch技术。电催化还原氮气(N2RR)的技术提供了一种可以常温常压合成氨的新路线。并且该技术可以利用风电等清洁能源作为驱动力,因此具有良好的应用前景。在本次报告中,大家将讨论大家最近在电催化过程中氮氧化、氮还原和尿素合成方面的工作,并先容新型催化剂设计的作用和反应路径的分析。
